This piece is an outfit created by Alexander Mc Queen from his 2009 spring collectionhis inspiration for this collection was the forrest and you can see from the striking pattern that
trees were a big influence, the pattern resembles the pattern that you can see within a tree (the grain of the tree) and you also see how the fabric loosley folds in the way that the grain with a tree folds and bends creating a loosley structured pattern... i feel that Alexander has really capture the influence of the forest and the trees...
Also above shows some accessories which carry this pattern and also reflects the forest in the materials used to make them...
Lve it!!! That's a beautiful example of how fashion has be inspired by the forest :) he's so talented and a good inspiration source.....what are ur ideas? Are you going to go further and maybe create a full fashion piece out of materials from the forest? Or just do what mc Queen did and use the forests shapes and forms in your pieces?
